The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian
Chapter 32: Thorn Flower
Third Person’s POV
It was silent inside the room. Only the sound of the space pouches being loaded could be heard. After that, the seven people inside made a large circle with their hands joined together.
As Draven activated the artifact, a blinding light filled the room. In an instant, time was frozen. The clock stopped moving and people ceased in their actions. It was as if everything in this world was locked in a magical photograph.
Oliver intertwined his hands, making a round gesture with his hands in the air as he muttered chants in an unfamiliar language. His fingertips were filled with small lights like fireflies, slowly scattering in the air. These small lights became tiny stars in the narrow space of the room.
Slowly, the small lights envelo
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 33: Flowers and Flowers Crystal’s POV I scanned our surroundings and numerous of these flowers nearby. My brows furrowed as a question lingered in my mind: if this plant was so common here, why had Rizza been missing for so long trying to find it?I bit my lip, and tried to shake off the worst-case scenario playing out in my head. I kept denying it, but reality was proving me wrong each passing moment.I felt my knees wobble while walking, and my hands tremble. Had I sent Rizza on a suicide mission without properly assessing the dangers she could encounter while searching for this flower? What other mistakes had I made in my decisions?“Crystal, are you alright?” Lumara’s voice brought me back to the present.“I… I’m fine
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 34: Went to the RingThird Person’s POV “Get me the Louvucnon red wine. This instant!” Among the three men who entered the restaurant, the red-haired one had the loudest voice, shouting at the waiters who merely bowed their heads and prepared a table for them. The noise he made instantly silenced the people. Even the people on the second floor curiously stepped outside of their private rooms. The three men, with their heads covered with white bandages, sat down on the table at the center. After the waiters served them the food, the three men ate it without any care in the world.“What are you all looking at? Get back to your own food!” The red-haired man barked at the people, making them turn away their heads. As he slurped his noodles, he in
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 35: Shouldn’t Be Crystal’s POV “Who are you people! Are you here to kill us too?! Then you should kill me first before you can kill my child!” I spit out the dust that went inside my mouth when I flew away. This demon’s power is powerful. As I raised my head, I was met with a pair of resentful dark brown eyes. I was startled and almost stumbled a few steps backwards. Fortunately, Jethro helped me in time and stabled me on the ground. He whispered, “I think the sparrow mistook us for assassins.” “It looks that way. Who would want to kill her?” Jethro shook his head, and I know that as well. I dusted my clothes and put back the map inside the pocket of my clothes, slowly approaching the angered sparrow. All her feat
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 36: Gorrum and the OlmaCrystal’s POV Before entering the gates, Draven gave us a masking spell that would hide our smell from the orcs. Although they are known to be affectionate towards other creatures, they don’t have the same reaction towards immortals like us.Since orcs don’t have the ability to shapeshift and stay in their true form, almost all of the immortals despise them for their outward appearance. That is why orcs don’t feel that close to others. They like other animals more and treat them better. If they knew that immortals like us entered their sacred village, they’d surely be angry and attack us.Seeing this village for myself, I realized that the things I learned from reading recorded history in books aren’t accurate at
The Fairy’s Dragon GuardianChapter 37: AgitatedThird Person’s POV The crunch of dried branches and grass echoed from the silent forest. The soldier orcs went to find the source of the sound but when they got to the place, they only found a rabbit munching on a carrot.“It’s just a rabbit,” one of the men sighed, squatting down and patting the rabbit on its head. The rabbit liked his touch and rubbed its head against his palm. Their captain saw the rabbit and eventually softened his expression. He took the rabbit from the ground and lifted it up to his chest. There was a smile on his face as he went back down and told the other soldiers to look for Gorrum. It was only a false alarm and they thought that it was an enemy.Right behind a tree where they found the r
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 38: A First-Time Clown Crystal’s POV I could only see the darkness in front of me. I tried waving my arms in the air, but I couldn’t. It feels like a heavy weight was put on my entire body, making me unable to move. I tried blinking my eyes, but nothing happened. I tried moving my feet against the cold floor, and it seems like I am finally moving. But it doesn’t quite feel right. There were small thorns under my feet, and I could feel them slowly prickling me. However, I don’t feel hurt or pained at all. It feels quite comfortable. What is this place? Where am I? [Crystal… Crystal…] I could hear a cool voice coming from a distance. I don’t know where it was coming from, nor do I know where I should go. I followed the voice blind with directions. I kept following that voice until I saw the faint light coming from in front of me. I ran and ran and ran, trying to get to the light but it only exhausted me. I slumped on the ground, having tired
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 39: For Love Third Person’s POV The trio – Oliver, Jethro and Draven – left as soon as they finished eating. On their way though, they met the group of orc soldiers looking for the orc named Gorrum again. The one they called Captain standing in the middle approached Oliver, looking at him up and down. “Hmm… are you new here? The three of you are unfamiliar to me.” “Sir, we are only here to gather some herbs. We heard that this mountain has many herbs useful for cultivation.” The Captain raised his eyebrow, “What herb are you looking for? Those you see in dramas are fake though.” Oliver smiled and shook his head, “We are looking for the Thousand-Year Heart Foundation Mountain Water Dew Buried Ginseng.” The Captain furrowed his eyebrows, “The Thousand- what?” Oliver repeated, “Thousand-Year Heart Foundation Mountain Water Dew Buried Ginseng.” “…” Draven and Jethro looked sideways at Oliver, their eyes both expressing confusion like the Capt
The Fairy’s Dragon Guardian Chapter 40: For Her Third Person’s POV Gorrum evidently froze on his position, but his eyes never wavered as they stared at Oliver’s pair of brown eyes. There was persistence and determination to not back down no matter what happened. Gorrum’s hand balled into tight fists and grinding his molars. He took the cup in front of him, and it broke in his hands. The pieces of the ceramic glass fell helplessly on the floor, as if mimicking how his heart broke thinking of his daughter’s condition. However, the secret he held in his heart was something that shouldn’t see the light of the day, or else his whole family would die. ‘But what if…’ he looked at the three men looking back at him, ‘what if these three men could help me? What if the Thousand-Year Heart Foundation Mountain Water Dew Buried Ginseng was really the cure for my daughter?’ His worries were as much as his huge size. Gorrum closed his eyes for a moment, “If I tell you who I heard this from, ca
