The crunch of dried branches and grass echoed from the silent forest. The soldier orcs went to find the source of the sound but when they got to the place, they only found a rabbit munching on a carrot.
“It’s just a rabbit,” one of the men sighed, squatting down and patting the rabbit on its head.
The rabbit liked his touch and rubbed its head against his palm. Their captain saw the rabbit and eventually softened his expression. He took the rabbit from the ground and lifted it up to his chest.
There was a smile on his face as he went back down and told the other soldiers to look for Gorrum. It was only a false alarm and they thought that it was an enemy.
