Ryan's POV.

"Bye. I would come pick you up once all of these are over." I assured Sophia as she smiled softly.

I felt so guilty for lying to her, but I had no choice. How could I bring myself to tell her that her mother was dead? I'm happy that she might get to see her mother again.

"Alright Dad." She smiled softly. I waved to her grandparents and then walked out of sight back to where my car was.

I entered the car and ignited the car engine and then drove off back to my house.

I held onto the envelope that I have been holding since morning. The fact that the DNA matched was just unbelievable.

I reported things to the police already, and they were also shocked by the news. We all thought she was dead.

They told me not to take matters into my hands, and then they would do their best to find the truth.

I just hoped that they would be quick with it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take matters into my hands.
