Ryan was in a state of despair, finding it hard to believe that Diana must have fallen off the cliff. He wanted to avoid reality, even with the evidence that was shown to him.

The police got there in no time and said, "Everyone should leave this place right now. This is a crime scene!" The police mentioned clearing them from the scene.
