Chapter Seven
Ryan's POV. Diana dropped some reports on my desk. As she turned her back, wanting to walk away, my eyes found their way to her ass. It swung as she walked out of the room. "What do you think you are doing?" I brought myself back to reality. Why should I be looking at her that way? It's funny how I haven't had sex with any lady since I got divorced from her. It was quite hard, but I didn't even know why I was restraining myself. My personal investigator walked in as she was going out. He greeted her with his head bowed as she walked out of my office. Jesper walked close to my desk and greeted me also. His name was Jesper. "Did you find anything else?" I questioned him immediately; he was positioned at my front. "No. I didn't get to find anything out." He answered. I twirled my chair around, thinking about what she told me yesterday. "You should stop finding out more about her. You should just try your best to keep her safe." I instructed him. "Alright sir. Her husband also went on a three-month trip. He departed this morning." He added, making me smirk. It was funny how he didn't even bother to let me know about it, knowing fully well that our company was working on something together. The fact that he was gone now would expose Diana to more danger. "You know what to do." I dismissed him. ******* I gulped down one cup of the drink that was right in front of me. I felt like drinking this night. It had been long I've drank. My phone kept on ringing, but I didn't want to pick it up. This would be the fourth time it would be ringing. "What if it was an important call?" My subconscious reminded me. I managed to leave the bar section and go to where my phone was. It turned out that it was Jesper who was calling. Why would he be calling at a time like this? "What is it?" I shouted in frustration. "Miss Diana is in danger." He informed me, making me drop the cup filled with wine on the nearest stand. "What do you mean by that? Why are you calling me? Shouldn't you help her out or something?" "No! That isn't the case here. Her house is on fire, and she is the only one left inside." "Why can't they save her? They should..." "No one could enter anymore. She might get to die at this rate." He interrupted me before I could complete my statement. I grabbed my car keys and stormed out of the room. My hands were literally shaking. I might hate her as fuck, but there was no way I would leave her to die. "What do you think you can do? Not even the firefighters could get to walk in and save her." My subconscious questioned me. I drove to the location that was sent to me by Jesper. I could see the smoke in the sky from a distance. My feet stepped on the accelerator, making the car move way faster. "Why is he driving so rough?" A girl questioned as I almost hit some people. I reached where the incident was happening in no time. A lot of people were gathered right at the front of the house, including some reporters. How come they were this fast? The firefighters were doing their work as well. I rushed down from the car and saw Jesper running towards me. "Make sure you stop the reporters from publishing any news." I instructed him, while I hastened my steps to the front of the building. "What do you think you are trying to do? I can't allow you to go in there." Jesper stood at my front, not wanting me to enter the house that was burning. Some other people wanted to stop me. "Maybe you should have done better work then, and I wouldn't go in. You should have made sure she was safe." I scolded him. "If you go in, there is a huge chance of you dying." One of the firefighters warned. I looked back at him and scoffed. "You should risk your life to protect people. That is your work." "You might need this." He gave her a cloth that was soaked in water. I collected it from him aggressively. I pushed Jesper off from my front and then entered the house they didn't want me to enter right there. I managed to enter the burning house. "Diana!" I shouted immediately as I got into the house, using the cloth to cover my nose. "I am right here!" I heard her screaming. I rushed to where I heard her voice, and she was struggling to survive. "I need to save my child." She was crying so hard. "Your child is safe; everyone has been evacuated except you." I tried assuring her. She was coughing so hard that the fumes must have affected her badly. I just needed to go to the other side to have her in my arms, but there were a lot of wooden doors that were obstructing me from getting in touch with her. I held the wet cloth in my hands and tried using it to move the door to one side. The fire burned my skin, but I still managed to pull it off. "What are you doing here?" She said this while coughing. She just came to realize that I was the one who had come to save her. "This is not the time to ask questions. We need to get out of here first." I made it clear to her. I was not ready to answer her questions. "Use this." I gave her a wet cloth she could use to cover her nose. She was really weak already, and it was evident. I carried her in a bridal style while I rushed her out of the house. I was sweating profusely, and she was too. The fire kept on raining, but we both managed to pull through. I fell to the ground after I came out, and I heard the people who were around applauding. What were they all clapping for? "You made it out." Jesper rushed to where I was. The ambulance nurses who were around carried her away from me and took her to the bus. I looked around and then saw someone in a face cap amongst the crowd. That might be the person who started the fire! The killer would still be around here!Epilogue.*FIVE YEARS LATER*Diana settled into the garden bench, watching Ryan chase their rambunctious six-year-olds around the lawn. She couldn't help but smile at his playful antics."Mommy, come play with us!" Alicia begged."Mommy's pregnant, sweetie," Ryan reminded her. "Let's find a game that doesn't require running."Sophia, their eldest, suggested, "How about we play hide-and-seek? Mommy can count!""Mommy is really tired." Diana replied to her daughter. She watched as Ryan kept on playing with her kids. Alicia who was the child of Richardson was now a daughter to her.Kian and Elena went on a vacation for the past two years and they were yet to come back.Diana's thoughts returned to the present as Ryan wrapped his arms around her. "You're glowing," he whispered."Pregnancy agrees with me," she replied, smiling.Their love story was one of perseverance. Separated by circumstance, they had held onto memories and letters. Reunited, they cherished every moment. As the sun dipp
Chapter 143 (FINALE)Elena's POV.My feet tapped on the hallway slowly. I was at the front of the operation room where Kian was bring operated on. This wasn't my intentions, and I was really scared that something bad might get to happen to him at this point.I hoped everything was going to be good at the end. I couldn't afford to lose, I don't think I would ever be myself in that hot to happen. That was why I needed him to stand up!I saw Kian's family coming from the Elevator which was on the hallway.Kian's family gathered around me, their faces etched with worry and accusation. I knew what must be going on in his father's mind right now."How could you let this happen?" Rita snapped at me. Visible anger in her eyes. If anyone had the right to scold me, it shouldn't be someone like her. She was the one who had entertained Clarke and things turned out to be really bad for us. She wasn't a saint. I felt a sting, but remained calm. "I tried to protect him. She had a knife...I couldn
Chapter 142Elena's POV.Without a doubt, I could easily tell who was responsible for all of these."I am going to deal with her myself. You just have to be calm." I heard Kian saying. I was really calm right now. I didn't want stuff like this to ruin the good moments that the both of us just had together. I was done putting up with her nonsense, and I wasn't going to take any sort of disrespect from her anymore. I was not really surprised by her actions.I could see my reputation getting tarnished right in my face. A lot of brands might not want to work with me, thinking I would be a bad influence on their modeling work.I would make sure I am not the one going down alone. She would go down alongside me, and I have to make sure about that."Do you know where she is right now?" I questioned him. "There is no need for me to find her. Just one call and she would show herself to me. That is how much to show that she is obsessed with me." Kian stated."Ohhhh!" I hit his elbow, teasing h
Chapter 141*TWO DAYS AFTER* Elena's POV.It was just two days after all of these had happened. I was in the shower together with Kian. It was in the morning, and we decided that we were going to take the shower together."What about your dad? You haven't talked with him yet?" I questioned him, and I saw the chang in his mood. I knew what he wanted to say already.I took in a huge sigh. I knew he just have gotten into some sort of fight with his father, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't even get to talk with his father or something."Let's not discuss about that for now. Let's just have fun together." His hand trailed down my chest This time looking at me straight into my eyes, but I was busy looking at his body up and down, using my eyes to survey every ab, and admiring all the muscle he had that seemed to be free of any form of fat. Of course, he was always working out. It had intoxicated me already, making my p*ssy more wet before I knew it; his strong chest was already in fron
Chapter 140Elena's POV.I think it was time for him to know the truth now. I have kept it hidden from him all these while. I knew he was really going to find it hard to believe, but we could go to the hospital and take a DNA test if he doesn't believe."The child is really yours!" I looked at him as he then looked at me back in the eyes stopping the car abruptly. I know that he must be really shocked."What did you just say? Are you kidding?""You are the real father of my child. How can you believe the story I had told you about the club?" I scoffed with a soft smile on my face."Do you think this is some matter we can joke with? There is nothing funny with this."I said with a straight face but it doesn't look like she was joking. She was really serious with whatever she was saying.I bet he must be so confused right now and I honestly wasn't going to blame him. It was normal for him to get confused. "How did it happen? Does that mean we had sex before? I...I...I... don't understan
Chapter 139Kian's POV.I saw as my father's face dropped. After hearing the news that I had told him, The least thing that he could do was to shout at me, scold me, and get me off his company. He blinked his eyes several times, and I could see the look in his face, finding it very hard to believe that he got fooled by the both of us. "Are you joking? What the hell are you saying?" He questioned again, trying to confirm if we were not saying trash or sort.He could probably want to take back his shares from me. It wouldn't be a bad thing to have another source of income."Everything you have been showing casing to me all this time is fake." He scoffed, questioning me."Yes!" I replied to him bluntly."Why are you telling me this now? Do you think telling me about this will let me change my mind, and then you can go scot-free?" My father questioned."No! That was not the reason why I told you about it." I answered him, and he then let out another huge sigh."My wife was being threaten
