Ch82 - Hostage

David was busy with his files checking the reports that were given to him by each department when John suddenly came with an envelope.

John was panting and sweaty as if he had been chasing someone outside.

“What happened to you?” David asked with a frown.

“Master,” John said while he was catching his breath.

He handed them the envelope and put them on David’s table. “You have to see this,” he said.

David looked at John as if he was trying to look for an answer to his face. Slowly, he took the envelope from his desk and opened it. He read what was written inside and his eyes widened in horror.

“Dammit,” David muttered.

He threw the paper he was holding and picked up his phone to call Mariane.

“Dammit, Mariane! Answer your phone.” David groaned after a few rings and Mariane still not answering his call.

“Prepare the car right away! Call the house, and tell them not to let Jacob out of the house!” David ordered John.

John immediately dialed the number in David’s house while he w
