Ch81 - Jealous David

Mariane sighed in relief after the press conference.

“That was exhausting,” Mariane muttered.

“Do you still have to work now? I know you’re tired because of the press conference earlier. I can approve your leave today,” David offered.

But Mariane shook her head. “No. It’s fine that I already filed a half day. And I have plenty of work to do today. I still have to finish my report or Miss Matilda will kill me.” Mariane said.

“They wouldn’t dare. I bet my life for it.” David said, which earned a glare from Mariane, sideways.

“What did you do?” She asked.

“I did a little favor for you,” David made a smug looked on his face as if he was proud of what he just did.

David remembered what he did a day before the press conference. He all of his employees in the hall, to give an announcement.

“Unbeknownst to you, I have a relationship with one of the employees in my company. And she's none other than Mariane Ramos from the accounting department. And I also know that rumors are spreading
