At the DeMarco household, bedtime turned into a bit of a showdown between Lucas and his spirited 3-year-old, Kai.

Lucas, with a grin spoke, "Alright, little man, it's that time – bedtime. But you know, Dad usually gets to sleep next to Mom, right? So go back to your room now."

Kai crossed his arms with a stubborn look and determined eyes answered, "No way, Dad! I'm sleeping next to Mommy tonight!"

"Well, kiddo, I'm the husband here. Shouldn't I get the prime sleeping spot?" Lucas reasoned using his 'hubby' card.

Kai, sticking to his guns, stubbornly looked away and crawled to Eve who was sleeping peacefully. "Nope, Daddy! Boss rule – I sleep next to Mommy!"

And so, the bedtime negotiations kicked off. The friendly back-and-forth continued, laughter filling the room as both sides made their pitches. In the end, it was clear – in the bedtime hierarchy of his family, the undisputed king was the little guy with a love for sleepovers. Kai claimed his victory, snuggling up next
