Chapter 61

FIVE YEARS LATER

"Mommy! Mommy!" Jaden said , jumping on the bed. Ember sighed, she had forgotten to lock the door again. She opened her eyes, she looked at the clock on the wall and she realized that it was only 6:20 am and her son was already awake and jumping on her bed. She looked to the right side and she noticed that Axle was not there, so he might have left already. She sat up from the bed.

"Come here." She said, Jaden sat down on her lap and he hugged her tightly. "Tell me, why do you have to ruin my sleep all the time." She asked. Jaden looked exactly like Axle, it's like he was a mini version of him, the looks and the behavior too.

"I never ruin your sleep. I just want to be with mommy." He said, kissing her on the cheek.

"Why not ruin daddy's sleep?" She asked. She saw him flinch. Axle had a no-nonsense attitude towards Jaden, that's why he would never ruin Axle's sleep. Every time he would get into trouble, he would beg Ember not to tell Axle because he would be grounded.
