Chapter 3

Ember looked around her thinking that Maybe he was asking someone else to marry him, not her. She saw that everyone was looking at them, they had all stopped what they were doing, they were all looking at them. She looked back at him waiting for him to tell her that he was joking, but he wasn't. He looked serious. "Me?"She asked and he nodded his head slowly. 

She saw Sophie who was standing at the far corner with a man, she was nodding her head in excitement and mouthing 'say yes'. This was something that she was not expecting. First she got dumped by her boyfriend and now a stranger is kneeling in front of her asking her to marry him. Was this a beautiful dream or a nightmare? She just didn't know what it was.

Ember could hear her inner voice telling her to say yes, but she wasn't too sure. 'Maybe wishes do come true, I just wished for him to ask me to marry him.and now he was actually doing it.'She mentally told herself. She was only admiring his looks and her wishing for him to marry her was not an actual wish, she didn't mean it. She looked back at him, and she looked around her again. She thought of saying yes because if she said no then she would be embarrassing the poor angel, but does she really have to say yes to a stranger. Dean just dumped her for another woman, maybe if she said yes she would be able to fill up that hole that Dean left in her heart and she would just rub it in his face.

"Yes, I will marry you.''She said. She could see a smile starting to form on his face and the guests were cheering and blowing whistles. He then sold the diamond ring through her finger. The ring really looked good on her beautiful caramel skin. She brought the hand closer to her face still looking at the ring, she could not believe it. Axle stood up and she felt his lips on hers. His sweet cherry lips on hers felt magical. The kiss was slow, gentle and warm, he caressed her right cheek while kissing her slowly. She liked the way he was doing it, for a moment she felt like he was a better kisser than Dean, was Dean really a good kisser? No, she told herself. Axle broke away from the kiss, his icy blue eyes stared deep at hers. She saw nothing but a good person in those icy blue eyes. They just stood there staring at each other, it was not awkward, it was just comfortable. Ember really wished that she had met him earlier. 

After half an hour Ember and her two friends made their way out of the huge mansion towards their car. "Wow, who knew that the worst night of your life would become the best day of your life,"Sophie said.

"How is this the best night? First I got dumped and then a stranger proposed to me. What if I end up regretting saying yes?"Ember asked.

"No you are not."Diana said. It was rare to see Diana siding with Sophie, maybe she was not going to regret it after all.

"And how are you so sure?"Ember asked. Her friends loved getting her into trouble, especially Sophie.

"Welly darling friend. The man that just proposed to you, is thee most richest man in the continent, he is thee most wanted bachelor well not anymore, he is thee most handsome, sexy, alluring, incredible, divine, etcetera in the entire world. He is a man whose voice can make any woman fall at her feet, he is a man that can make any woman fall in love with him, with just one look, he is, oh my gosh, he is just everything a girl could ever want in life. So my dear friend, you won't regret your decision. "Sophie said. She caught her breath. 

"How come I have never heard or seen him before, and how does he know me?"Ember asked.

"That man is Axle Bolton. Not everyone gets the chance to see him, or even stand near him, you my friend are lucky. Because you didn't just see him and dance with him, you also became his fiancé today. And as for your last question I am sure that he is the only one who can answer it for you."Sophie said.

"Axle Bolton? I have never heard of him. Is he some very important person or something?" Ember asked. Both Sophie and Diana exchanged looks, they were shocked that Ember did not know the most important man in every woman's eyes. 

"Which world are you even coming from, you are telling me that you don't know everybody's crush are you serious. Oh my gosh someone get me a hammer so that I can knock something into this girl."Sophie said dramatically.

"Was I supposed to know him?"Ember asked.

"Yes, you are. Oh my gosh, are you sure that you are alive?"Soohie asked.

"Sophie I don't think that it is really that much of a big deal. I am sure that Ember is not the only one who does not know who Axle Bolton is."Diana said, hoping that Sophie would calm down.

"This is a big deal, we are talking about Axle, not someone who is still climbing the mountain, Axle is already at the top of the mountain and he has been there for such a long time and you are telling me that there is someone who still has no idea who Axle is, oh good lord, what have you done to your children?"Sophue said. Both Diana and Ember rolled their eyes at her. She was really just being too dramatic at this moment but this was not something that Ember and Sophie were not used to so they were used to it.

"You know what, let's go back to our respective apartments before I beat the life out of the two of you"Sophie said, and the three of them got into the car and they drove off.
