Chapter 2

"What! But why?"Diana asked.

"I can't say I didn't see that one coming." Sophie said. Diana gave her a death glare and she just shrugged her shoulders looking away.

"He said that he didn't love me anymore and that he had found someone else and that person is already pregnant with his child."She said, wiping her tears.

"So in other words that asshole cheated on you"Sophie said and Ember nodded her head in response. "Do you know where he is now? My hands are itching right now."Sophie said, rubbing her hands together.

"You know what for once I agree with you Sophie, that idiot deserves a beating."Diana said.

"Guys what's the point, I just want something that will keep my mind off him right now."Ember said.

"Fine, but if I bump into him I won't spare his ugly face,"Sophie said.

"Let's go to that bar that just opened recently." Diana suggested.

"I don't drink and you guys know that." Ember said. Sophie rolled her eyes at her, she still didn't understand why Ember didn't drink because according to Sophie, alcohol was all a person needed to get rid of all their worries.

"Alright uhm… OH yeah, there is a party at the McMahon mansion right now, we can actually go there I am sure that it will keep your mind off that annoying asshole.''Sophie said.

"Wait, but isn't the McMahon family, like the richest family in the continent? Besides none of us are invited, only VIP's get invited to their party.''Diana said.

"Second richest family, the richest family in the continent is the Bolton family, I have the invitation cards with me, as to how or where I got them from is a story for another day. Come on, let's go and get dressed. Don't worry about the outfits, I already have outfits, just like they always say 'stay ready so you don't have to get ready''' Sophie said smiling. Diana still didn't trust her because the last thing that Diana wanted was to get into trouble. "Guy's stop staring at me, come on let's go." Sophie said. Without a choice both Ember abd Diana stood up and followed their friend to who knows where.

"Are you sure that we won't get ourselves kicked out?"Ember asked. They were now at the entrance of the mansion where the party was held. Dean had already ruined her day and she didn't want her day to become much worse than it already was.

"Girls chill, we are going to be okay."Sophie said, but Diana and Amber still didn't trust her but who knows maybe things might end up going well for them and they might end up having the time of their life. So they both got out of the car and they made their way into the huge mansion that was worth millions of dollars.

When they got in, both Ember and Diana were in awe, their Jaws dropped because of what they were seeing. This place was decorated in green and gold, the chandeliers on the white ceiling were made out of real gold and diamonds. Who on earth would spend so much on a chandelier. The floor tile was crystal white and looked smooth. Anyone could slip and fall if they were not careful. The stairs and walls were decorated in green and gold lights that made the whole place shine. And the guests were wearing clothes that not everyone could afford.you could tell from the way they were dressed that none of them looked like they were ordinary people with ordinary jobs, they were indeed VIP'S.

"Are you sure that we should be here?"Diana asked, still not too sure about the idea of them coming into a place like this one.

"Guys come on, let's just go and enjoy ourselves, stop asking me meaningless questions. I want to enjoy the night, you guys should enjoy it too, so have fun."Sophie said leaving the two women alone.

"So, what do we do now?"Ember asked.

"Just enjoy yourself like she said, I am going to search for someone I am going to take home with me."Diana said and she left. Ember was now all alone.

Ember could not believe it, her two best nest friends had just left her here all by herself avd the worst part is that she didn't know anyone. She thought that maybe walking around the place would help her out. So she just walked to the hall where most of the guests were gathered, most of them were in groups and they were chatting, probably about their lifestyles. She made her way to the area where the food was and she helped herself to a piece of strawberry cake that looked fresh out of the oven.

As she was eating a man came and he stood behind her tapping her on her shoulder. She put the plate down abd she turned around wanting to see who it was, and she met the icy blue eyes of what seemed to be an angel that just descended from heaven. He had long black silky hair, a cupid nose and cherry lips, thick eyebrows and a perfect square jar. Ember was speechless, this man was just perfect. 'OH please ask me to marry you.'She thought to herself. 'Oh God what am I even thinking, who in their right mind would marry a stranger.'She asked herself.

"Hello young miss, my name is Axle. I was hoping we could go to the dance together. What do you think?"he asked. His voice was deep but welcoming. Ember nodded her head in response, still not able to say anything.

They both made their way to the dance floor and they started dancing.The music was soft as they danced the time away. She could feel him staring at her but she was too nervous and shy to look at him, she was afraid of losing herself and doing something she might or might not regret. Instead of looking at his eyes she looked at their moving feet, it's a good thing that her sister tought her how to dance. "Why aren't you looking at me?"He asked her.

"Uhm…I."She tried to talk but she still couldn't.

"It's okay if you are shy, it's not a bad thing."He said still not taking his eyes off her."But can you at least try to look at me, you should get used to it since you will be spending the rest of your life with me."He said. Ember looked up at him , still processing what he had just said.

"What do you mean?"She asked. He then let go of her waist abd ge reached out in his pocket abd he took about a small box, he then kneeled down in front of her. "Ember James, will you marry me?"He asked.
