Chapter 20

The piercing sound of the alarm clock brought Ember back from the dead of sleep. She groaned checking the time on the clock and it was 6:30am. That's the time that she was supposed to wake up every single day. She was still trying to get used to it.

She turned and she saw Axle who was still fast asleep. He looked so peaceful and angelic. His hair was all over his face. Ember extended her hand to remove the hair on his face but before she could do it, Axle slowly opened his eyes. "Morning."He said. Looking at her.

"Hey are you mad at me?"He asked.

"No, why do you ask?"She asked.

"About last night. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did."He said.
