Chapter 48: Regret

Oishin’s Point of View

I watched Cyan’s car disappear down the road. The wind picked up as I stood outside the car watching her. I have looked for her for four long years: every single day, every single second. My hands shook violently, and I placed one on the car door, trying to steady it and took a deep breath. It was futile and did nothing.

I still couldn't believe it. She was here after so long. My vision was blurry and I blinked, saying a prayer to the moon goddess. I couldn't fall apart in front of her.

She was sitting in the passenger side of the car waiting for me to get in. Her soft brown hair was in a ponytail. It felt like it was almost yesterday when I would pick her up from her father's house. The only exception was that she didn't hate me then and of course she had gotten even more beautiful with time.
