Chapter 23: The ending for a beginning

I did feel a lot safer with Yuhan.

I woke up one morning to a thick comforter thrown over us to keep us warm from the incoming cold. He stayed and made sure we were fine. As the time wore on I came to trust him a bit more each day.

He became a fixture in our lives. I didn't know how I could have gotten so lucky.

The men didn't show up ever again, even when he wasn't present. They were afraid of him and any retribution he would meet. We were off limits and I couldn't be more thankful for my guardian angel.
