Chapter 26: It's an Alphas thing

“Eion is my son,” I told him. “From my previous mate.”

Tyga stared at Eion and then smiled.

“I’m your mom’s new mate kiddo,” he answered.

Eion stared back at him and into me. Questions in his were apparent and I’m sure he’ll demand an answer from me later.

"It was a beautiful ceremony, Mathus," Tyga said to my Alpha. Apparently Alphas referred to each other by first name. "But I seem to have found something much more beautiful, and we will be needing to return home now," he explained to Alpha Mathus.

Alpha Mathus nodded in understanding and smiled kindly at me. He was happy for me.

"Of course, Tyga. I know you'll treat her well," Alpha Mathus replied. I hoped he was right, because I wasn't so sure.

Then a whimper got my attention.

"Mommy...you're not leaving me and Chea are you?"

Eion asked softly. My heart ached for a moment and I tilted my head up to face Tyga, the sudden realization of everything finally hitting me.
