CHAPTER SEVENTY

ALEXANDER

"I can't eat this!" Beverly shouted angrily as she stood up to her feet and banged the table.

I really wouldn't blame her or behaving that way. The food was really horrible. I was only trying to eat so as not to offend Sally.

Beverly walked away from the dining room angrily. I didn't like the food, but I had to force it into my throat and swallow it. I soon got a little used to the food.

I swallowed immediately after putting it in my mouth. After eating, the maids cleared the dining while Sally and I walked to our rooms.

I was aware that Sally intentionally added too much spice to the food just to punish us. I didn't mind, though.

Instead of going to my room, I branched at Sally's and tried to talk to her, but she shunned me off.

"I don't want to talk to you, Alex," she told me.

I held her arm.

"Stay away from me!" She barked before walking away.
