CHAPTER SEVENTY SIX

SALLY

I walked back to my car, feeling a bit disappointed that Alex's father didn't accept my offer.

I wondered how he knew that I would come there. He didn't act surprised at all. In fact, he acted as though he had been expecting me all along. I ended up getting the shock of my life rather than shocking Mr Grande.

It angered me that I didn't achieve my aim.

I began to ask myself who told him about it. My eyes widened in sudden realisation.

Who else if it wasn't Alex?

"That jerk!" I cursed him.

I got into my car and drove to my office. I was very infuriated, but I tried to calm myself down.

I paced my office with my finger in my mouth. I knew that Mr Grande was right. I could not do anything with the document I had because they were not enough evidence.

I knew I needed something stronger to back up my plans. I paced the office while still biting my fingers as I began to rack my brain for ways to get evidence against Alex's father.
