CHAPTER SEVENTY THREE

ALEXANDER

I slowly opened my eye, only to realise that it was really bright. I quickly sat up and moved my eyes straight to the wall clock.

I sighed deeply when I noticed that it was almost nine in the morning. There was no point going to work after all.

Surprisingly, I didn't have any hangovers. I was grateful to Sally for bringing me in, taking care of me, and making sure that I was fine.

I was grateful that she gave me milk. I'd have had a hangover.

I stood up from my bed and walked into the bathroom for a shower, and I also brushed my teeth.

Breakfast was brought into my room by the head maid. I wanted to ask her if Sally was home, but I was too weak to open my mouth.

It was obvious that Sally wasn't home. The home seemed too quiet aside the regular noise the housekeepers made. Yet, I wanted to be sure.

For some reason, I believed that she didn't go to work either, even though there was no reason why she wouldn't go.
