Chapter Two

At the counter, Anita was thankful that it was sam who was on night shift tonight. She walked up to him excitingly.

"Hey Sam!" Sam looked up from his laptop and tried to hide it from her view but Anita was fast to see it.

"Hey doc!" He replied awkwardly while adjusting his glasses.

"Don't, I don't work here anymore. And besides, you're still into her?"

"Who? I don't know what you are talking about!"

"Uhhhh! this whole neighborhood know about your little crush on Ellen."

"Shhhhhhhh, someone could hear you!" Sam tried to stop her and looked around for any human on sight.

" Whatever...I need these drugs ASAP." She pulled out her old note book and gave it to him.

Sam was quite hardworking. Except for his obsession with Elle, he was a green Flag. It was a thing of sorrow for someone who graduated from college with a first class as a pharmacist to work in a nameless clinic.

He applied for a job in three big hospitals but he was rejected for being unfitting for the job.

Within five minutes, the specific drugs were kept in front of Anita. She took out the money and gave it to him.

"95$?? Really??"

"That's all I got"

"Nita!! These drugs cost... A hundred and fifty dollars! Where do I get the remaining amount from??"

"Please, I really need them."

"Why do you need them? you look fine to me tho.. these drugs are for someone in serious shit!"

"Can you stop asking?? I'm already getting pissed at myself for spending this much."

"Okay, secretive as always." He mumbled.

"Bye Sam. Thanks." She took the bag and walked back to the apartment.

A Few months later--

Arrrhhhgggg! The man opened his eyes and tried to sit down but to no avail. His opaque vision glance at the unfamiliar room. He couldn't remember what happened next. He was pretending to be dead and somehow blacked out. He looked at himself and sighed, God had really heard him this time. The creaking sounds of the door caught his attention. He turned towards the door and hissed from the injury on his head but what he saw next numbed the pain. Beautiful!

He suddenly lost his ability to breathe. Her smooth white skin had traces of perspiration on it. She walked in with a few washed Cooking utensils and turned towards the bed.

"You're awake, that's good" Anita said. Her voice reminded him of his mother's music box. "Let me get you a cup of water" she disappeared into the kitchen. The man felt like he was in a trance and licked his dry lips.

After a while, "Here" There she was again. He took the cup from her ignoring his injured left arm and drank. "Thank you." He whispered and cleared his throat. "How long have I been out? "

Anita looked at him while cleaning her wet hands on her washed jeans to respond but fell short of words. This man, even with the gauze on his head, he looked perfectly handsome. She had seen a hand full of men but this, this was another level! His hierarchy was Apex!

"A month."

She said and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear. She didn't know how much that action affected him.

He was lucky the human heart was strong enough to accommodate any kind of emotion. He looked away immediately and screamed in his mind.

"You've been out for a month?!"

Suddenly he felt  cold hands again his temple and forehead and jolted up. He felt electrocuted. Her hands were always cold, just like a month ago. He didn't know if it was from the water on her hands or it was naturally cold. The blanket rolled down his body causing Anita to stare. She couldn't get enough of those biceps and abs. God knows how much will power she had to hold back from raping him during his coma. He was well endowed. Thinking of what she saw down there, she pressed her legs together.

He had occupied a greater part of her sexual fantasy for a month now. The Man noticed the way she looked at him and followed the direction of her eyes. He noticed that his upper body was covered in bandages and check beneath the blanket, only to find out he was naked. He flushed and wished the wall beside him would swallow him up. Anita guessed his reaction and smirked, arms akimbo.

"What? It's not like I haven't seen everything...I've been taking care of you for a month now. I probably know your body better than you do."

She walked towards the wardrobe and took out an old coat, leaving a trail of her fragrance in the air.

He didn't know how he was going to face her and facepalms himself.

"I'm going to get us something to eat"

she threw a phone to him and said "call me if you need anything".

After making sure she was gone, he took the phone and typed in a string of numbers and paused. He deleted them and threw the phone to the corner of the bed. "It isn't time yet" he said to himself. He tried to stand from the bed and took baby steps, trying to get himself familiar with walking again.
