Chapter 14

Alexander froze in his tracks. "What do you mean he might not be able to walk?" Alexander asked, his voice barely above a whisper. As he walked through the doorway.

Amelia took a deep breath and turned to face Alexander. "We don't know yet," she said. "They want to run some tests to find out what's going on. But we need to prepare ourselves for the possibility that Andrew might have some mobility issues."

"Oh, poor Andrew," he said. "It must be so hard for him."

He walked over to Nanny Grace and gave her a peck on the cheek, as she tapped his back in return. Nanny Grace had been working with the Reynolds since Andrew and Alexander were little, and they loved her so much.

"I'll make sure we get the best doctors to take care of him," Alexander said, trying to sound reassuring. "We'll do everything we can to help him."

"Thank you, Alexander," Nanny Grace said, smiling at him warmly as she let out a sigh.

But before they could say anything else, Amelia's expression turned slightly puzzled
