Chapter 20

"Mama, why are you here? Are you not gonna leave for work?" While Rain was busy working in front of her computer, her son Alas suddenly came into her room and asked with a knot in the forehead. Probably, curious why she was at home.

Rain paused from what she was doing and moved to face her son. She smiled as she held him in his right arm while leveling herself to her son's height.

"Mommy is not going to work onsite and was allowed by her boss to work from home because she got injury that needs rest. That's why Mommy is here today with you." She then pinched her son's nose in conclusion. Alas, on the other hand, giggled.

"Wow, that's so nice of your boss, Mama! May I know his name so I could thank him one day?" Alas was so innocent and cheerful, which relieves her tiredness from the work she's doing. She couldn't help herself not to hug her son and shower him kisses carefully.

"His name is Uriel, baby. But sadly you can not meet him now." She said as she caressed her son's hair.
