Chapter 26. Selfish

The day dawned again, and Lynda's activities had already begun with cleaning Nelvan's large house alone, while the homeowner was nowhere to be seen, possibly still asleep as it was quite early in the morning.

Breakfast had been prepared by Lynda, and she had already eaten before starting work again. Her condition had improved significantly after the bloody tragedy a few days ago that had landed her in the hospital.

Wearing the necklace and bracelet given by Hans, Lynda felt more energized to work. She tried to forget anything that could overload her mind. By emptying her mind to fill it with more useful thoughts, Lynda unknowingly caught Nelvan's attention from a distance.

Lynda's smile and enthusiasm made it seem as if the girl was working there for the first time; her energy was still full without diminishing. Leaning against the wall, Nelvan observed Lynda, who was unaware of Nelvan's presence.
