Chapter 34. Pain

Rain in the spring was common, a black BMW car sliced through the city streets in the evening before finally turning into a house with a tall gate and a very spacious yard.

Due to Nelvan's stubbornness, the man had now chosen to be treated at home. Lynda and Hans sat in the front seats before the car had come to a complete stop.

Hans quickly got out of the car to help Nelvan, but the man refused, "Is my mother at home?" Nelvan asked.

"I made sure your mother went to Washington this afternoon," Hans replied.

Nelvan got out of the car without assistance, and Lynda had no intention of helping as Nelvan had previously rejected Hans' help. With slow steps, Nelvan walked into the house.

The two now walked behind Nelvan, "Do you think he's childish?" Hans asked.

Lynda turned, "A bit," she replied, then looked at Nelvan, who was now sitting on the sofa, his shoulders leaned back with his head slightly tilted, one hand holding the part of his stomach that had not fully healed from Romy's stab.
