"Don’t you find it very strange that your daughter looks a lot like me?”. Cesar asked her innocently. They had just finished a two hour meeting and went for lunch but Cesar decided to try a new place. They were having pizza for lunch and smoothie.
“She does?". She feigned ignorance. "I haven’t noticed.” She shrugged nonchalantly.
Cesar stared at her then down at his french fries. “Are you trying to tell me..that you gave birth to your daughter seven years ago and you’ve never taken a good look at her?.” He stared at her in disbelief.
“M..maybe.” she mumbled.
“Do you take me for a fool Ellie?”. He stopped eating and leaned back in his chair.
“No of course not. I dare not". She shook her head. "But if that’s your story.” She added cheekily. "I thought you said you wouldn't bring this up again? You gave me your word." She said accusingly.
"I'm curious." He said. "She looks exactly like me. Like I was cloned or something. Anyone with half a brain will think the same thing Ellie and wonder. Hence the question."
"God created two people alike." She said.
Cesar shrugged. “I don’t believe that cock and bull story about God creating two people alike.” He said gruffly.
“Haven’t you met your doppelganger? I have seen mine and she’s a little girl. She’s so adorable.” Ellie smiled fondly.
“I have seen mine too but that’s not the point here.” He rumbled.
Ellie let out a frustrated sigh. “Okay but what if it’s the truth?”. She asked.
“What if it isn’t?”. He countered.
“Have you ever seen the inside of a church since you were born Cesari Sandoval?”. Ellie mocked him.
Cesar’s eyes narrowed to slits. “Don’t try my fucking patience Ellie”. He growled at her.
“Why?”.
“Okay you know what? Forget it." He snapped. "I really don’t care.”
“Why were you getting worked up about it then?”. Ellie demanded.
“I said forget it!”. He snarled at her.
“Don’t raise your voice at me.” She reprimanded him.
“What the hell Sandoval? Why are you so bothered about this? You really need to get laid.” He thought grimly.
He took a deep breath to calm himself then looked at Ellie who had a deep frown on her face and she was stabbing at her salad angrily without eating it so he placed his hand on hers to stop her movement making her send him a death glare.
“You’re mad at me so stop torturing the poor salad.” He joked.
Ellie yanked her hand away and dropped her fork. “Can we leave now?”. She snapped then didn’t bother waiting for a reply as she rose from her seat, grabbed her bag from the handle of her chair and left.
“Fucking hell!". He groaned as he watched her leave. "I really need to get laid.” He hated the fact that her anger seemed to turn him on which was usually a turn off for him with other women.
He paid the bill then left the restaurant but when he got outside,Ellie was nowhere to be found so he assumed that she’d gone to her daughter’s school and he got into his car but didn’t drive immediately as he started the car.
He was torn between going after Ellie and going back to work but of course going after Ellie won so he found himself driving to Miesa’s school.
Cesar got to Miesa’s school and parked the car in the lot. He alighted from the car and hoped he’d not missed them but he let out a sigh of relief when he saw them coming out of the school building.
Miesa had a petulant look on her face and her arms were crossed in front of her. He didn’t know what was wrong but he could feel Ellie’s frustration from where he was standing so he pushed back from the car and walked across the lawn to where they stood.
“There you are.” He said.
Miesa’s face lit up like the fourth of July when she saw him.
“Mr Sandoval! You’re here!”. She squealed in delight and threw her arms around his waist.
Cesar mentally frowned when he felt that strange ache in his chest again.
“I guess I’m not imagining things then.” He thought.
“Hey princess.” He crouched down to her level and kissed her forehead. "What’s wrong? did mom say anything to upset you?”.
“Of course not!”. Ellie refuted.
“I asked her why she didn’t come with you and she said that you were busy". Miesa said.
“I’m here now aren’t I?”. He smiled at her. "Now smile.”
Miesa beamed at him showing her dimples and he mirrored her big smile.
“Fucking hell! did you clone yourself man?”. His subconscious removed his sunshades to get a closer look at her.
“That’s what I intend to find out.” He thought.
“Um..sir.. can we get ice cream on our way? I’m craving some.” Miesa asked him.
“Sure princess. Call me Cesar.” He told her.
“Okay.”
“Let’s go?”. He looked to Ellie.
Ellie sent him a dirty look and flounced off.
“I think she’s on her period.” Miesa told him.
Cesar threw his head back and let out a bark of laughter making Miesa giggle.
“I think so too princess.” Cesar whispered to her.
“Annoying sexy as hell idiot.” Ellie muttered under her breath as Cesar opened the passenger door for Miesa and she got in then he fastened her seatbelt for her before he closed the door.
“Hey Ellie." He put his hand on the door to prevent her from getting in the car.
“What?”. She bit out.
“I’m sorry.” Cesar apologized. "I don’t like us fighting.”
Ellie stewed inside for a minute then looked at his face. He was sincerely remorseful so she let it go too.
“Apology accepted.” She mumbled.
“Say that with a smile.” He urged.
“We don’t have time for this.” Ellie said and on cue Miesa honked twice impatiently.
Cesar chuckled and stepped back to let her in so he went around the car and got in.
“Where to princess?”. He asked as he started the car.
“Um.. Angel’s please!”.
“Right on it Your Highness.” He said and drove off.
Cesar parked right in front of Angel’s and unfastened his seatbelt. He got out of the car and went to help Miesa out of the car as she was practically dancing on her seat in excitement which made him laugh.
“You coming Ellie?”. He asked her.
“Sure.” She got out and closed the door then followed Miesa into the ice cream shop.
“What will you have sweetie?”. Ellie asked her when they got to the counter.
“Hmmn..there are so many flavors to choose from.” Miesa said.
“You can have just one.” Ellie said firmly.
“Okay I’ll have rocky road then.” She said in defeat.
“One rocky road and..”
“Won’t you order for Cesar?”. Miesa interrupted her.
Elyon rolled her eyes. “Cesar hates ice cream.”
“Who told you that?”. Cesar asked from behind her.
“You did, remember?”. She turned to look at him.
“No I don’t remember telling you that Ellie love." Cesar said. "I’ll have rocky road as well." He said to the attendant.
“Okay. Anything for you ma’am?”. The girl asked Ellie.
“Neapolitan.”
“Coming right up.”
“We’re over there". Cesar pointed to a window booth in the corner.
“Sure sir.”
They walked over to the booth and sat down. Cesar and Miesa sat together while Ellie took a seat opposite them.
“This feels like a family outing doesn’t it?”. Cesar asked. He stared at Ellie pointedly.
“Fucking say something please!”. Her subconscious begged.
“Do you have something to tell me Ellie?”. Cesar mentally asked her.
“It does, doesn’t it?”. Miesa chimed in.
“I..guess.” Ellie shrugged.
“We should do this more often.” Miesa said. "Right Mommy?”.
“You love putting mommy on the spot don’t you girl?”. Ellie’s inner goddess gave Miesa the stink eye.
“I don’t know. It’s up to Cesar.” She said.
“Yeah. We should.” Cesar agreed. "I have this movie coming up where I have to act as a widowed dad with four kids. I think I’ll need a lot of help. You’ll help me won’t you Ellie?”. He flashed a panty dropping smile.
“If I’m not too busy.” She mumbled hiding her flushed face. She couldn't help wondering exactly what that would entail and she hoped he wouldn't ask her to play house with him. He probably wouldn't but she'd noticed that Cesari Sandoval was a very unpredictable person. You never know what to expect from him.
“Two orders of rocky road and one neapolitan.” Their waitress dropped their orders in front of them with a smile. "Enjoy.” She walked away.
“Thank you.” Miesa said and dug in excitedly.
Yes they had to do this soon enough and everyday if she could help it.
Cesar stood in front of the floor to ceiling window overlooking the pool from his home office with a glass of whiskey in his hand. He watched as Antoinette Montalvo did lap after lap, her arms cutting through the water so easily that her actions appeared to be effortless then when she was done, she pulled herself out of the pool gracefully. She sent him a seductive smile when she caught him watching her and put on her robe. She'd asked him to skinny dip with her since the weather was a little hot but he'd declined and told her to go ahead and she'd not argued for fear of annoying him.Cesar turned away from the window and walked over to his desk and sat down. He dropped the glass of whiskey and picked up his phone. He scrolled through his contacts and settled on a number he never thought he’d call again and pressed the call button. The phone rang three times before someone picked up.“Boss.” The husky voice greeted.“I have a job for you. I need it done within three days.” Cesar inform
Antoinette’s eyes wandered from his muscular chest to one very aroused cock as he kicked his jeans and boxer briefs aside, leaving him completely naked. She licked her lips seductively wanting to touch him so bad but knew it was against the rules. No touching of any kind because he didn’t like it and he never told her why.“Cesar.." She breathed when he came on top of her.“Shh.” He lowered his head and kissed her stopping her from saying anything. His dominant embrace fueled the fire that was already smouldering, just like setting fire to gasoline.Cesar pulled her bottom lip into his mouth and bit it gently then released it as she moaned and granted him full access as she parted her lips and his tongue swept inside her mouth. His mouth expertly explored hers for what seemed like hours and then moved down her neck,to her collar bone and down to her breasts. He pinned her hands over her head and lowered his head to feast on her breasts. He laved over one of her nipples, the sensitive pe
“Annie?”. Her mother was surprised to see her at home. It was 1am on Saturday and she’d originally thought she’d stay over at Cesar’s house. It wasn't a normal occurrence but she had hoped that this time it would be different. She wanted the same thing her daughter wanted; for her to tie the knot with Cesari Sandoval and to keep all that wealth in the family.“Mom.” Annie sobbed and rushed to hug her mother. Monica Montalvo wondered what happened that her daughter was crying so hard as if she’d lost someone very dear to her.“What’s wrong Annie?”. Monica inquired and pulled back to look at her. "Did Cesar do something to upset you? did he..”“He doesn’t love me mother". Annie replied angrily, released her mother and walked over to sit down on the sofa. "After we.. fucked, I told him how I feel about him and he.." She hiccupped. "He broke up with me!”.“I’m very sorry dear." Monica went to sit beside her. "But you don’t have to be so upset because he doesn’t love you back my darling.
Ellie sat at her desk going through a travel magazine wishing she had enough money to take Miesa around the world. It wasn’t that Cesar didn’t pay her enough – he did and he was in fact more than generous but she had bills to pay and she couldn’t afford to be broke at this time. Not when she’d promised Miesa a big cake for her birthday and her favorite cartoon character gown.Miesa would throw a fit if she didn’t get that gown..and her temper tantrums were the worst. It was one she didn't want to experience. Not ever. The elevator doors pinged and opened and Cesar stepped out looking drop dead gorgeous in his navy blue suit. His hair was gelled back and he was clean shaven. He looked gorgeous in any outfit but today… there was something about him that she couldn't quite put her finger on.“Good morning sir.” Ellie greeted, cheerfully.“In my office right now.” He ordered and went to his office.Ellie stared after him, shocked by his attitude. Never in the three years she’d been workin
“Miesa Devane.” Doctor Mirabelle’s secretary called.“Yes Ma’am.” She stood up.“Come with me please.” She waved her over.Miesa smiled at Beth who smiled back and she left the class. She hoped doctor Mirabelle had good news for her because she couldn’t wait any longer.“You can go in Miesa.” The secretary told her when they got to the doctor’s office.“Thank you.” Miesa smiled then she knocked on the door, waited for a reply before she went into the office.“Come in Miesa!”. Mirabelle said. "I have good news for you.”Miesa closed the door and walked over to the desk. “Really?”. She beamed.“You were so right about what you told me." Mirabelle opened her top drawer and brought out a file.Miesa sat down on the chair bouncing with excitement. If it was good news then it could mean only one thing but she didn't want to put her hopes up.Mirabelle opened the file and took a paper from it. “Well this here says that Cesari Sandoval is 99.9% your biological father.”~Flashback~Miesa kept

Miesa sat in class with her chin resting on her palm. Her feet bounced on the floor as she waited for her mother to walk through the door. Her teacher Miss Valerie was talking to someone on the phone by the window and she was looking out so Miesa took out the envelope from her bag and admired it again for the millionth time that day.The envelope contained precious information that couldn’t get into the wrong hands so she returned it to it’s safe place just as her mother walked into the classroom and her teacher was just ending her call.“I’m so sorry I’m late miss Valerie. It won’t happen again.” Ellie apologized profusely.“It’s fine.” Miss Valerie smiled. “Let’s go Mimi.” She said to her daughter.“Is.. Cesar waiting outside?”. Mimi had wanted to call him “dad” but got herself in time. Her mother couldn’t find out that she knew the truth now.“No he’s not." Ellie replied with a frown. "I told you Mimi…he’s a very busy man.”“He promised not to be too busy for me.” She pouted.“Ye
What the hell? Cesar’s eyes widened as a memory came to him. It was six years ago at Catherine Waldorf’s masquerade ball. He’d been invited even though he wasn’t as wealthy as he is now, he’d mingled around meeting new people and getting acquainted with top bosses in the business world when he saw her. She stood in a corner, dressed in a purple armless gown with a silver mask on and she was talking to a lady and she had a glass of champagne in her hand. The other lady said something and she let out a tinkering laugh that went straight to his gut. He knew he had to have her then but he was ambushed by Catherine who wanted him to meet her lovely daughter…but honestly the girl had an uncanny resemblance to queen jezebel in the bible. For politeness sake he’d stopped to talk to Cathy’s daughter and when he turned to look at the lady in the purple gown...she was gone. He cursed and went in search of her but couldn’t find her anywhere which made him frustrated. He almost gave up and w
Months later “Cesar!”. Ellie screamed. "Cesar!”. Cesar rushed into the closet and stopped short when he saw Ellie holding her stomach and she was breathing heavily. He looked down at the floor and made a face. “Did you pee on yourself?”. He asked. “My water just broke idiot!". She snapped. "The baby’s coming!”. Cesar froze as he stared at her. “What?”. “Cesar!”. She screamed. Cesar jumped. “What do I do?”. “He’s asking me stupid questions!." She exclaimed through gritted teeth as she tried not to scream out. "Hospital!”. Cesar nodded and yelled for Maia to get the baby bag before he proceeded to lift Ellie up in his arms but he didn’t expect her to beat him up. “Hey!what now!”. He protested. "I'm taking you to the hospital." “I’m in my underwear idiot!." She gestured to her body. Cesar looked at her and bit his cheek to stop himself from laughing then he nodded and went to get her a dress. “I have to change first." Ellie said. “You’re cranky." He stated drily and went to
Cesar stood on the balcony just staring at nothing in particular. It was the last day of their stay in South Africa and they'd enjoyed every bit of it. Sun City was fun but they had to go back home and he had to go back to work.He and Ellie had gone for her check up today and everything was looking good but Ellie hadn't wanted to know the sex of the baby so he'd told the doctor to whisper it in his ear which made him smile like a Cheshire cat."You're not allowed to do that." Ellie had protested hitting him immediately they walked out of the office. "That's called cheating.""No it's not." He'd complained. "I have a right to know if I want to."She had huffed which made him smile. She went silent for a long time even as they got into the car and Warren drove away from the hospital so he turned to look at her."You're not mad, are you?". He asked. "I can unknow it if you want."That brought a half smile to her face. "Unknow it?there's no word like that." She scoffed. "No I'm not mad.
Tristan dreaded going back to the home he'd grown up in. He'd been treated worse than a slave. Spat on, abused and whatnot and he'd thought he'd never have to come back but here he was staring at the house whilst seated in the car. He'd been too excited to see Abby so he'd left his aunt Evie's house two hours earlier forgetting that Abby's school didn't let out until two pm and it was just one pm so he had to wait one hour before he could see her. His phone rang bringing him out of his thoughts and he took it out of his pocket, sighed then answered the call."Hey Gwen." He said. Ever since he started following her on Instagram and other media platforms, she somehow got her hands on his phone number and had been disturbing him since then. He liked her, she was a very nice girl and all that but he didn't want to get her hopes up continuing this charade. She was just eight years old so she had no business crushing on him or any boy for that matter."Hi! Are you busy?". She asked."Yea
The next day “Oh my God!". Ellie exclaimed suddenly as she stared at her iPad. She looked horrified and he wondered what she'd seen that could have made her look that way. “Are you okay?Is it the baby?”. Cesar asked. He hoped it wasn't the baby. They were still within the vicinity of the airport and a hospital surely wasn't nearby that they could take her to. "Talk to me." They were on their way to Evie’s from the airport and the kids were asleep. “No! Look." She thrust her iPad in front of him. "Cassandra Nash and her family are dead...all of them.” Cesar read the news article and felt no remorse whatsoever that Cassandra was dead. Infact he wanted to celebrate and shout from the rooftop that they were finally free. He still had enemies but they were ones who wouldn't dream of trying to hurt him and his family. Not if they valued their lives. “You’re not saying anything." Ellie spoke up when he kept staring at the news article and pictures. Cesar returned her iPad. “I have noth
A Week later“Sir...Dom has arrived.” David informed Cesar.“Finally! I thought he’d never get here." Cesar rolled his eyes. "Bring him here.” It had only been a week of waiting for the guy to finally get his butt here but it had felt like years and Cesar hated waiting for anyone. If not that he really needed the guy, he'd have just let him go. Find someone else to do the job.David nodded and left. Five minutes later he returned with Dominic.“Thank you David." Cesar waved him away. "Sit Dom.” He gestured to the chair in front of his desk. "I’ve been waiting for you.”“Why?”. Dom asked.“David didn’t tell you?”. Cesar arched a brow.Dom shrugged.Cesar picked up some pictures and passed it to Dom who took it and checked it out. The indifferent expression on his face turned stormy which surprised Cesar.“Cassandra Nash.” Dom spat.“Yes.” He nodded.“You know her?.” Dom asked.“Not personally." Cesar said. "I have scores to settle with her.”“She hurt you?”. Dom rumbled.“Tried to blow
Cesar was worried about Ellie because she'd refused to go out after that bombing incident. She also had nightmares about Cassandra trying to kill her and it didn't help that Tristan seemed to agree with her that the woman would stop at nothing until Ellie was dead. He didn't know why Cass was hell bent on seeing Ellie dead even after she found out the whole truth about how Belle tried to kill Miesa. Granted, Belle was her niece and she wouldn't want to see her hurt but better Belle being in a coma than Miesa dead. He tapped his finger against his chin in thought as he stared at the TV without really seeing it. It'd been a few weeks since the incident but it still seemed like it happened yesterday. People were still talking about it and he knew that more one television presenter wanted to interview him to talk about that particular incident but as usual he'd declined. They knew better than to ask for an interview but they did so anyway which annoyed him. Thankfully they didn't ambu
“Arya...calm down I’m fine." Cesar told her. "No, there’s no need to come over.” He didn't know why he'd unblocked her number but now he was wishing he hadn't. He'd been talking to her for almost ten minutes now and he felt a headache coming on.Arya kept rambling on the phone making Cesar sigh. She was clearly very worried and wouldn’t rest until she saw him. He didn't want her to come. She'd want to hug him and he wouldn't be able to stand it.“Mom!”. He cut her off.Arya went silent.“Thank you." He breathed. "I’m fine. I’ll send you a photo if you want proof.”“That’s fine." She said in a shaky voice. "I’m so glad you’re okay Cesar.”“Yeah.” He muttered. "Thanks for calling."“Can I send you ice cream? I know you like rocky road.”“Uh…okay". Cesar said. "Sure.”“Give me...ten minutes. Kisses.” She hung up.Cesar dropped his phone on his bedside table with a sigh.“You okay?I heard you yelling at someone.” Ellie walked into the bedroom.“I wasn’t yelling…per se." He said. "Arya wou
Cesar and Ellie took Miesa for her monthly checkup and they were very happy when the doctor told them that Miesa’s cancer was in remission but she’d need to continue maintenance therapy for a couple years until they were sure it wouldn’t come back. It was wonderful news for them especially Miesa who'd been worried she'd never get to live forever with her family.“I’m so happy mommy, daddy." Miesa smiled big at them as they walked out of the hospital. "I’m free!”.“Yes baby." Ellie smiled back. "I’m happy too.”Cesar’s phone rang as they got close to the waiting car. He took it out of his pocket and frowned when he saw Tristan’s name on the screen and picked it. Ellie and Miesa decided to go get ice cream while he talked on the phone.“Hey kid, what’s up?”. He asked.“Dad…please please tell me you’re not in the car right now?”. Tristan’s voice shook.“Uh...no. why?”. He frowned.“There’s a bomb. Don’t get…”As if on cue, there was a sudden explosion that threw Cesar off his feet and he
“How’s Elyon doing?”. Oliver asked Cesar. They were on FaceTime.“Fine. Thank God I got there the time I did or it’d have been a different story.” He said.“And the guys?”. Oliver inquired.“Dead.” Cesar replied flatly. He couldn't have let any one of them go free after what they did. It was not possible.Oliver’s eyes widened. “All of them?”.“Yes. Including...my dad.” Cesar said. Even now he still couldn't believe everything that had happened. That maniac had been his father who'd hurt his mother and his mother had hurt him because he looked like his father and then he killed his father because he'd kidnapped his wife and hurt his mother for the second time. Not that he gave a damn about Arya now… far from it. The damage she'd done to him was enough to last him two lifetimes.“What do you mean? I thought you said your father was dead?”. Oliver looked confused. "I didn't know a person…"“Oh that was just wishful thinking." He stated drily. "Arya told me something else.”“Wow. So you
