Chapter Thirty-One

"I guess all this began from the moment I had Daniel cancel your interview and since we are yet to hire the tech assistant, you can take the job," he replied.

Eve sniffled. "You are joking. Aren't you?"

"I'm serious, Eve. You can have the job but on one condition."

"And what's that?"

"All the games and mischief will end."

Eve coughed for a long while and Henry knew she did it to taunt him. "I'm no longer interested in the job," she said.

"Are you kidding me?" he fired back.

A while ago when Henry told Dane he was going to handle the situation, his main plan was to offer Eve the employment she wanted. He feels that once she gets the job, the drama will end.

"Yes, Mr. Richard. You heard me right. I'm not interested in your job, you can keep it to yourself."

"Oh come on Eve..."

"I said I don't want the damn job." She maintained.

"You know what? Why don't you come to my office tomorrow and get your appointment letter from Daniel. You don't need to undergo an interview." Henry said.
