Chapter Thirty-Eight

Before Henry left the office for his home, he got another text message from Eve stating that she was coming to his office the next day in line with the new job. Henry smiled and texted her back. He told her she could come by anytime she wished during the office hours which are from 10 am to 2 pm. He informed her that the contract papers were ready.

Tuesday morning, Eve woke up with mixed feelings. She was glad she had finally gotten a new job but her feelings of excitement were weighed down by feelings of anxiety. However, she had promised herself that she will be bringing her game to the top because she was going to be a spy during her stay to look out for Henry's wife.

After taking a warm shower, Eve slipped into a blue cotton jumpsuit which hugged her tightly. She applied a little make-up and chose a pair of black heels. She decorated her hair and grabbed her favourite handbag before dashing out. Anyone who saw her walking down the street that morning couldn't deny how gorgeous she
