Chapter Thirty-Nine

"Welcome miss Bloom. I must say you are Blooming this morning," commented Henry.

Eve held on to her handbag and fixed her gaze on his table.

"Have a seat. I've been expecting you." Henry offered and pointed to the chair facing him.

Eve pulled the chair and sat. She placed her handbag on the table. "Thank you."

"So what can I offer you?"

"Can we just skip that and head to business straight?" replied Eve.

Henry smiled. "Of course."

The door to Henry's office was pushed open and Dane walked in. Dane sat on the sofa and when their eyes met with Eve's, she looked away.

Henry brought out a file from his suitcase and placed it on the table. He dropped a pen on top of the file.

"In this file, is the contract you'll be signing miss Bloom," he said pointing to the file

"Let's get on with it then," Eve replied. Henry and Dane exchanged glances.
