Chapter 86: Our Room?
Sofia's POV
I am still pondering whether staying here is a good idea. Why doesn't he just let me go so I can show him the evidence? He's making things too difficult.
I never imagined things would turn out this way. I never thought I'd spend my time here with him.
"So, how long do you expect me to stay here?" I asked him as he drank water. I waited for his response, but he remained silent even after finishing.
I sighed. I shouldn't have asked. I knew it would take days or weeks, given his behaviour of not answering my questions. This guy is really something else.
After finishing our meal, he washed the dishes. Since it's not my job here—considering he abducted me—it's his duty. I still couldn't forget how I ended up here, having dinner with my kidnapper.
Such things have never happened to me before; they only happen when Mom is far away.
I already miss her. I want to talk
Chapter 87:He's driving me crazy! Sofia's POV I wake up without Marcus by my side. Maybe I was just hallucinating last night due to tiredness. I stood up, wanting to take a shower, so I searched for clothes. Luckily, I found clothes for girls that suited me. I went to the bathroom and hurriedly took my shower. I even saw a toothbrush already prepared. After finishing my daily routine, I sat on the bed, sighing while thinking about how to escape from here. My mom would be worried by now. I looked around for something I could use for communication, but I couldn't find anything. I also searched for my purse, but it’s gone. I don't know where it went; maybe Marcus hid it from me. I decided to leave my room, and there I saw him cooking, his topless body showing his muscles. “Where are my things?” I asked him, but he didn't even glance at me. Right! Just right! “You have to give me your phone now, Marcus,” I to
Chapter 88:Don't laugh!Sofia's POVI woke up feeling hungry, and it was already late at night. My tummy is demanding food. At first, I hesitated to leave the room because I knew Marcus was outside, though I was not sure if he was still awake or asleep.I sighed and touched the door, feeling numb. I hesitated to open it. Damn! What should I do?“Damn, I'm hungry,” I muttered. I didn't know if I should go outside or not. I bit my lip and returned to my bed, sitting down.Damn! What am I supposed to do? I don't want to see that jerk! I lay back on the bed and closed my eyes, my tummy growling.“Can’t you wait for another hour? I just want to make sure he's not around before we go eat,” I said to myself, feeling stupid.I found myself opening the door and sneaking into the kitchen. Damn! I couldn't help but look for food.I walked slowly, making sure not to make noise, step by s
Chapter 89: Bad DreamSofia's POVAfter we finished dinner, I went to the living room. I didn't know why, but I found it a little bit cute that a guy was cooking and washing plates, but it won't change the fact that he was the reason why I was here.At the same time, I'm still worried about my mom and our company. I wanted to know what's happening now with our business, but I couldn't. I wanted to talk to my mom and tell her that I was alright and she didn't have to worry about me, but I couldn't.I'm still thinking deeply about how to get away from this island, though there's no possibility that I could do it alone. No one is here; it's just the two of us, and I can't just swim a few miles from the city. I would die before I could get there.I sigh and look around. I'm still thankful that nothing bad happened to me; I wasn't hurt, and I'm totally fine.I'm still looking for my things, but I can't figure out where they
Chapter 90: Sweet SmileSofia's POVHe was shocked when I pushed him, but I had no choice but to do it. Our position was a bit uncomfortable. I knew he was just being nice to me, but it was wrong of him to hug me. Besides, he already has a fiancée, and hugging me like that was unacceptable.“I'm okay now,” I simply said while wiping my tears. However, I'm confused because of what just happened earlier.“You can go back to the couch now,” I added, but he didn't move or even say anything. I’m afraid to turn around and face him because he's close to me.I could even feel his breath, and it made me uncomfortable for real. He's too close to me.“Marcus,” I called him. I don't know if he's already asleep or just pretending that he couldn't hear anything. The only thing I want is for him to distance himself from me.“I said I'm okay now; you can distance yourself from me
Chapter 91: Funny Sofia's POV When I recovered myself, I suddenly smelled something. “What is that?” I kept on smelling it, and he also noticed something, and there we concluded that the food he'd been cooking was burnt. We both laughed as he rushed to close the fire. “Damn! I forgot,” he embarrassedly said and looked at me. His expression made me laugh even more. “Seemed like we're eating burned food right now,” I joked to him, which made him chuckle. Actually, this was the first time I saw him up close while he was laughing, and it was not fake. It's a real laugh. I also noticed that it changed the way I see him right now. He's not really that cold and serious person; there's also a side of him that is more than I'm thinking of. “I'd rather cook again than let you eat that burnt food,” he said and went to check another stock in the refrigerator. “You don't have to cook another; I'll just eat what you have cooked. Besides, the food on the table is enough to eat,” I told him.
Chapter 92: Did You Cheat On Her?Sofia's POVI woke up and didn't see Marcus in the room. Maybe he went to the kitchen again to cook for our breakfast. As usual, I went to the cabinet to look for clothes, and after that, I marched to the shower room. After I was done with my daily routine, I decided to go to the kitchen. So far, staying here made me comfortable, though I'm also worried about my mom. I missed her, and I badly wanted to talk to her, but I knew I couldn't.I'm also worried about our business. I just couldn't talk about it to Marcus because I knew no matter how I convinced him, he would not do what I wanted. It's already been a week since the day I first came here. I still couldn't believe that I could stay here for days alone with Marcus. When I went to the kitchen, I suddenly saw someone cooking. She was the lady I saw when I came here!I went to her, and she smiled at me. That is why I also gave
Chapter 93: Never Talked About ItSofia's POVI didn't know why I suddenly uttered those words, but I really wanted to know the reason why Sofia never dared to appear in front of him and catch things up with him.I don't know why I'm so eager to know the truth behind Sofia and Marcus. There's a part of me seeking answers.Marcus never talked about it with me, and what Marcus said made me curious about her mom, her sister, and most especially Sofia.I couldn't think of a reason a girl would suddenly disappear and leave the love of her life without a strong reason. There are too many opinions that I couldn't stop thinking about.Maybe because Marcus cheated on her? Or maybe because his mom didn't like her? I shouldn't be thinking about these things, but here I am, stuck in the middle of nowhere, wondering what happened to Sofia. Where is she now?I heard him clear his throat. I wasn't ready for his answer, and at the same time, I didn't know why I felt nervous.I didn't make a sound; I
Chapter 94: Heartbeat Sofia's POV“I had a great day today,” I smiled at him while we were still watching the sunset. It was perfectly beautiful.“I see; I've never seen you so happy before,” he said, which made me look at him.“Actually, what I feel right now is something different. I can't explain it. The only thing I know is that I love watching the sunset, and it's gorgeous.” I don't know why I became too talkative today, but I kind of like it.I looked above while feeling the air brushing my hair.“You're right, it's gorgeous,” he then said. But when I looked at him, he was not into the sunset; he was looking at me. I feel shy for the first time.I cleared my throat and tried to chill things out.“I didn't know that someone like you would also have time for this. I mean, look at you. You're successful, and I think you didn't like this kind of thing.” I fake a chuckle just to change the atmosphere.“It's not because I'm a busy person; it doesn't mean I don't have time for this. H
