“There's nothing to say sorry,” he said, trying to lighten things up.

I still couldn't move on from how Marcus endured all of that just for Sofia.

“I did everything to make him stay, though I knew that I was hurting her because of what was happening to me. I did all I could to make him believe that I loved her because I really loved her,” he said, his voice cracking. He was hurt as well as I was.

It hurts hearing him say how he loved Sofia while I am here admiring him from afar. It hurts seeing him like this. I wanted to hold his hand and hug him tight, but I didn't have the strength to do it.
