I wasn't used to Marcus not being here tonight, but I knew his meeting was important.
My phone rang, and I saw Maria was the caller. I answered because I knew she wanted to talk to me.
“How are you? Where is Marcus?” She asked while combing her hair.
“He can't accompany me now; he has an important meeting to attend,” I told her. She nodded. I feel bad for Marcus; I know he's tired, but he chose to stay here in the hospital with me. If I tell him to rest, he always says that he feels better when he's with me.
“Then why didn't you tell me so I could go there?” Of course, she's busy. I didn't want to disturb her.
“I'm okay, besides, he will be back tomorrow morning, so no need to worry,” I assured her. She went to her mirror while putting on night cream.
