Sofia POV

“I haven’t met your parents, Sofia,” Mandy said while eating popcorn. We are watching movies, and Marcus is here. I don’t know if he’s here to watch or to sleep. His eyes were closed.

Mandy and I were sitting together while Marcus was on the other couch.

“My parents? They were in space,” I said, trying to hide my loneliness by smiling. Her brow furrowed out of curiosity. Don't tell me she didn't get it.

“What do you mean? Are they astronauts? That’s great. I also dreamed of being one, but then I changed my mind because it's kinda scary," She said, and I just laughed because of what she said.

“ They are not astronaut Mandy. They are gone. Long gone," I said, laughing softly. Her eyes widened.

“ I’m sorry, I thought –” she's looking at me with pity in her eyes. She feels sorry. She should not.
