MIA'S POV

"You are right Aiden. I went out of line and I'm sorry about that. It won't happen again." I said to him apologetically.

I wanted nothing more than for him to come to bed Instead of drowning himself in alcohol. I don't want him to see me as a person who bring problems into his life and someone who nags him about his past.

I wanted to be more than just a lover to him. I want him to be able to confide in me and not run away from me. I want to be a friend to him and not a foe.

"Do you forgive me?" I asked him in a soft voice.

He finally met my gaze with his, unwavering.

"Do I have a choice? Even if I wanted to stay mad at you, I couldn't." He huffed and I smiled softly.

"I'm sorry. Please let's go to the room. Enough of this alcohol consumption."

I held him by the hand and led him to the room. I have never seen him this vulnerable or exhausted like this before.
