CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE

AIDEN'S POV

On getting into my office, my facial expression changed immediately. I had deliberately acted like nothing was wrong before I left the house but something was wrong.

I didn't want Mia to worry and I didn't want to spoil her day so I had to play it cool. I relaxed my back on the chair and lifted my head as I replayed the conversation I had with my staff in my head.

"Good afternoon sir."

I looked at her weirdly. As a matter of fact, since this incident, I hardly speak to any of them or let them leave the house. It is only Mr Timothy I gave the access to leave the house just to get groceries.

I changed my face to a serious one before responding to her.

"Is there a problem?"

"There is something I need to tell you sir." She said with a voice trembling with fear.

"Okay. Go on." I said, tapping my feet on the floor.

" Before ma'am Mia was poisoned, I - I - I saw………" she trailed off.

That immediately caught my attention.

"You…. You saw what? Speak up!!! For crying out loud.

I like the sound of the story line but it is way too dragging. There is too much detail and now I’m boared. Wish I had not paid in full.
