Maverick stopped and turned around to look at me. I offered him a tight smile before his eyes traveled to his Mother.

"Don't think of doing anything to her. I'm warning you." He threatened in a cold, steel voice. The woman turned her nose up at me and gave him no response.

"I'll be right outside if you need me."

I nodded in response and he nodded once before closing the door with one soft click. Immediately the click indicated that the door was locked, I let out a deep breath and moved to carry my heavy legs.

"Please, have your seat." I offered gesturing at the chair where she had stood up from.

She snickered and sat down as well crossing her legs.

"Tea?" I offered again and she pushed her teacup.

"I'll get you some tea," I said to myself. I stood from my chair, served her the piping hot tea and I served myself as well.
