"Are you okay?" Maverick asked and I nodded my head. I took the water he offered and sipped it dropping the empty cup on the counter.

"Thank you," I said looking up at his face.

"For?"

"Everything. You believed me, you trusted me even though I was the Daughter of your oldest rival, and you cared for me like no one has ever done. Everyone in the world turned their backs on my call for help but you took my hand and helped me up. You have no idea how grateful I am." I said shaking my head.

"Come here." He said pulling me in for a hug. I leaned closer and hugged him sniffing in his heavenly husky scent.

He stayed like that for a while before he leaned down and kissed the crown of my head.

"I love you." He declared suddenly and I froze in his embrace. I couldn't bring myself to look up at his face neither could I move a miniscule of muscle.
