Chapter 17

Kylan

Work kept piling in one after the other. No matter how hard I tried to finish up, something else always popped up from the sidelines, and this had continued for a week straight now.

I haven't seen Lisa in seven days, and I genuinely had no idea how she was doing. I had intended to send someone to spy on her, but had decided against that. I wanted to be the only one who does the spying, and clearly didn't want anybody else to take my job.

After finishing up with the work on my system, I strolled out of my office and headed towards the conference where presumably the others were already settled. It was definitely going to be one of the most awkward meetings I was going to attend.

Though the company in attendance was in a partnership with ours now, my brother, Christopher, was going to be in the meeting. His presence made no sense, it wasn't as if he was the owner of the company, and most importantly it was for staff only. But Christopher couldn't care less about that.
