I thought that after the events of last night that I would loathe Lisa the moment I laid eyes on her. My company's success was possibly hanging in the balance, my life was potentially at the verge of ruin, and it was all because she had refused to marry me. However, standing before her, I felt no hatred.

If anything, seeing her smile calmed me more than I had expected. Her smile was energetic and healing, and each time life came to those exhausted eyes of hers, I felt the need to kiss and bed her until she could walk no more.

"What's going on with you today? You don't look so well, is everything okay?" Lisa asked the moment she realized I was spacing out, and wasn't smiling like I always did on a regular basis. I couldn't tell her about what had happened, there was absolutely no need for her to know about it, she couldn't help in any way after all.
