Chapter 1.

Arriving in A.J country, Nancy Marlon, a 24-year-old woman frowned as she did not understand why her parents had asked her to return home. She was studying in Country X and had just graduated with a business administration degree. Her father clearly told her, "Nancy, I want you to return home and not stay in Country X."

Nancy frowned over the phone call with her father. She knew that her father was a politician in the country. She could not go against his orders. So she arrived at the airport at exactly 2 pm, and her father's men were already there and waiting to escort her home.

"Welcome home, Nancy," her elder adopted brother, Matthew Marlon, smiled at her.

Nancy frowned as she walked with him to the car. She sat in the back seat of the car and knew that the city was ruled by the popular President Nolan Alejandro and his family. The city was named after the Alejandro family, who had been ruling for years, and any opponent that tried to oppose them was immediately silenced.

Nancy watched the road as Matthew started the car engine and drove out from the airport. Her eyes fell on the billboard displaying the country's president's photos.

"Hmm," Nancy hummed, rolling her eyes and glancing at Matthew. She saw him smiling at her through the rearview mirror of the car.

She ignored smiling at him as she continued to wonder why her parents had insisted that she must return home.

Arriving home, the security men at her father's mansion gate pulled the huge black gate open for them.

Nancy watched as Matthew drove his black SUV into the premises and parked.

She saw her parents standing at the mansion's frontage. Her mother wore a red gown, and her father stood in his black suit, with the maids also standing behind her parents in their blue maid uniforms.

Nancy stepped down from the car and walked up to the mansion's frontage to meet her parents. She wore a red top, black trousers, and black high-heeled shoes.

Nancy approached the mansion's frontage. Her mother wholeheartedly welcomed her, "Welcome home, my beautiful angel."

"Good afternoon, Mom, Dad," Nancy smiled as she hugged her mother. Her father then said, "Welcome home, Nancy. Good to have you at home with us."

"Thanks, Dad," Nancy replied, hugging her father. The maids welcomed her, "Welcome home, Nancy."

"Thank you all," Nancy smiled at the maids. Her mother said, "Let us all go inside."

"Okay, Mom," Nancy replied and walked into the living room with her mother.

She saw that their living room hadn't changed. It was painted white and had beautiful flower vases.

Nancy walked up to a black couch in the living room, as there were seven black couches.

"Home, sweet home," she whispered as she sat on one of the black couches behind her back.

She saw her mother standing in the center of the living room and smiling at her sweetly.

"Mom, what is the good news about, as you look so excited to see me?" Nancy asked, becoming curious to know the reason behind her mother's bright smile.

Her mother is a pure epitome of beauty, and at her age of 51 years, it didn't reflect on her mother's face. Her mother still looks under forty years.

Mrs. Olivia smiled and settled on the black couch behind her. She replied, "Why won't I be excited to see you, Nancy? You have changed, and you look so adorable now compared to when you left the country five years ago."

"Thanks, Mom, but I'm still the same," Nancy replied, grinning at her mother. She knew that her mother was right. She had changed compared to when she left the country five years ago to further her studies abroad.

Her bust had grown larger, her hips had grown wider, and she was now a sexy, charming young lady.

Nancy knew how most passersby would pause and stare back at her to be sure of what they saw, as she looked so adorable.

She also knew that her mother loved calling her an angel, and that was because she had a pointed nose, shining blue eyes, and her long golden hair was her most attractive feature.

"Mom, I need to go upstairs now and freshen up. Then I will come back downstairs to join you and Dad for dinner," Nancy said, as she rose from the couch.

"Okay, my dear," Mrs. Olivia Marlon replied, unable to stop admiring her daughter.

She thought of telling Nancy about the arranged marriage with the president's son, but she decided to wait.

Nancy smiled and walked upstairs to her bedroom. Approaching her bedroom door, she pushed it open and walked into her room.

She saw that her room hadn't changed, as it was still painted pink and had beautiful flowers.

Nancy walked up to her room window to pull the curtains open and stare out at her surroundings. She saw three black cars had arrived as they drove into her father's mansion and parked.

She saw two men in black suits step down from the car at the back. They walked up to the car at the front and pulled the car door open.

Nancy saw a tall man in a black suit and inner red shirt step down from the car. She met his black eyes that lingered on her room window for a moment. But she hastily looked away from him and shut her room curtains closed.

She walked back to her bathroom to strip off her clothes as she decided to take a bath and later go back downstairs to join her parents for dinner.

Nancy stripped off her red top first and black trousers next. Then she walked into her bathroom to bathe.

A few minutes later, she stepped out of her bathroom and was wrapped in a long white towel around her chest.

She walked up to her bed to sit down and moisturize her body.

She missed her parents when she was in Country X, and she decided to search for a new job in A.J Country since she was already at home and wouldn't be going back to Country X anytime soon.

Nancy sat on her bed and pulled her bed drawer open. She took out her body lotion to cream her body.

Then she picked up her television remote and switched it on. She saw the videos of their country's President being displayed again on her television screen.

As she increased the television volume, Nancy heard the reporter announce, "Good evening, citizens of AJ Country. I bring to you the 4 pm news today. President Nolan Alejandro has won the recent ended elections and scored the highest votes."

Nancy scowled as she disliked the Alejandro family. She switched off her television, knowing that the Alejandro family had been ruling them for a long time and didn't want another family to rule.

Nancy knew that her father was a politician and working under the A.J Political party group. She sighed, deciding not to bother about politics.

She didn't like the luxury lifestyle that her family lived, as she wanted a simple life for herself, her husband, and their sweet kids in the future.

She did not like the security men who had been following her about every minute and second since her return to the city.

Nancy finished creaming her body and stood up from the bed to search for a cloth to wear.

She walked into her closet and took out a short brown gown that hugged her body tightly.

She smiled, walking to her room mirror, and holding her white long towel in her right hand to dry her wet long golden hair and comb it to cascade behind her back.

As a politician's daughter, she was raised to always look cute. She saw that the time was 5 o'clock.

If only she knew the major reason her parents had asked her to return home, then she wouldn't be there.
