9 Taken To The White House

Nancy met Charles’ sharp, deep black eyes, and with her chest rising and falling heavily, she wanted to move away from him, but Charles held her close.

"I cannot let you go," he said, as it felt to Charles like he was beginning to lose himself because of her.

Nancy took some steps backward, and Charles approached her further, still staring intently at her face until she was halted by the glass wall behind her. She quickly turned to move away, but Charles cornered her closely and inhaled her sweet blossom scent, feeling a strong desire to kiss her pink lips as his gaze drifted to them again.

"Why don't you want me?" Charles asked. This time he was standing very close to Nancy, who couldn't respond as the words stuck in her throat. She inhaled Charles’ cologne, which permeated her senses and made her splutter, "I... I..."

"I don't love you," Nancy finally found the words, but spoke with trembling lips. Charles replied, "But I do. Let's get married, and I promise to be the man you want."
