It would be a big mistake if she followed what Dillbert said, whether there is a man or not. -The man in his life will still maintain the fetus.

She rubbed her flat stomach while closing her eyes, Cursing her stupidity all this time, Why did she believe so much in the sweet words spoken by Dillbert.

***

Morning Sickness

Caroline has been vomiting since this morning in the bathroom of the apartment that Dillbert gave her, where she has lived in for a year. No less than five times and her body felt weak. Her head throbbed violently, But caroline still managed to smile.

"Mom won't complain, little one, whatever the circumstances," She said while stroking her flat stomach.

Even though she has no experience with pregnancy, Caroline has read a lot of pregnancy articles recently. She has really prepared herself to be a good mother. At least even though the fetus she is carrying has no father, Caroline promised herself that her child would be pregnant. in the future you will not feel any lack in your life.

After her condition improved, Caroline forced herself to go to work. She needed money to survive and also needed savings to prepare for the birth of her baby. She doesn't have much time because her stomach will definitely get bigger day by day so she has to collect a lot of money at least until she can look for work again after her child is born. Thankfully, the salary she received as Dillbert's personal assistant was quite large, apart from the additional money given by Dillbert.

Caroline had decided not to tell Dillbert about the child she was carrying. This fetus belonged to her alone.

This morning Caroline also changed her habit of wasting money. Usually he goes to work by taxi, but this time he chose to use the bus to save more.

On the way, Caroline was busy checking her balance, she also needed to move out of the apartment Dillbert gave her.

"My savings aren't enough to pay the deposit for the apartment. this is only enough to pay for a cheap boarding house for six months. Gosh, Caroline, where is the money that Dillbert gave you all this time?" She sighed softly, Caroline bit her lower lip when she felt pain in her temples, there were so many problems she had to finish it after Dillbert officially said he was breaking up with him unilaterally.

The bus that Caroline was on stopped at a station near the giant tower owned by the Dillbert Family company. She stepped off unsteadily. Just yesterday Caroline claimed to be the luckiest woman on this earth, but now she has been thrown to the bottom of the earth.

Meanwhile, One of Dillbert's associates noticed Caroline getting off the bus and immediately informed his boss.

"Sir, isn't that Miss. Caroline?"

Erik, one of Dillbert's accomplices, slowed down Dillbert's newest car when he saw his boss's girlfriend walking on the sidewalk near the company.

Dillbert turned in the direction Erik was pointing. His eyes narrowed when he saw his former lover walking who he believed had just gotten off the bus.

Erik was about to pull the car over but before he could pull over, but before he could, Dillbert told him it wasn't necessary and ordered him to keep driving. Erik remained silent, stealing a glance at Dillbert through the rearview mirror. His boss had looked away.

"Yes, sir."

The car then sped away, Caroline recognized the car because it was not uncommon for Dillbert to pick her up.

"You have really been thrown away, Caroline," Caroline thought painfully in her heart.

When she arrived at the company, Caroline immediately turned on her computer. She had to work as best as possible, so that she could immediately collect money.

In his office, Dillbert looked at the photo of himself and Sally which was taken a few days ago when the two families met for dinner. Two years ago, on his 26th birthday, a big party was prepared. That same day he decided to propose to Sally in front of his family and friends, but she had suddenly Sally disappeared without a word.

Rubbing his face roughly, Dillbert felt confused about his decision, but he convinced himself that marrying sally was the right choice.

"I'm not playing with Caroline. We did love each other but I love Sally more." He said convincingly to himself.

There was a knock on the door of the office, Dillbert adjusted his sitting position and turned on his laptop screen before inviting those who knocked on the door to enter.

The door opened, and Dillbert glanced up to see Caroline coming in, struggling to carry a pile of files while trying to close the door.

Memories of the past flashed in his mind how he would immediately grab the woman's arm and fondle her flashed back. At that time he was very happy, but isn't he much happier now that his first love is back?

"Weekly project report sir." Caroline said, placing the folder on Dillbert's desk. Hearing Caroline's soft voice, Dillbert couldn't help but look at the woman's face. That beautiful face hasn't changed at all. In fact, she looked even more beautiful, though she seemed a bit pale.

"Are you feeling sick?" Dillbert asked, his voice hoarse. He could still restrain himself from pulling Caroline's arm, but on the other hand, he couldn't completely ignore the woman he once loved.

"I'm fine, sir." Caroline answered as calmly as possible. It would be a lie if Caroline wasn't touched, everything was still like a dream. Caroline even hoped that this was all just a long dream and would end as soon as she woke up. But in reality, this is not a dream, now they are not lovers, Dillbert will soon marry his lover while Caroline will sink with her regrets.

"Alright, you can go."

Caroline bowed respectfully with a faint smile. She wanted to hurry away before her tears fell.

"You have to stay strong, Caroline, for the sake of the baby in your womb." She muttered to herself. A drop of clear water fell from her eyes, then she immediately wiped it away with the back of his hand. Caroline was just about to leave but suddenly someone opened the door. It turned out to be Sally.

Sally smiled sweetly, she was very beautiful and charming in her branded dress and expensive make-up, which made Caroline feel insecure.

"Why didn't you tell me you were comung here ? If you had, I would've picked you up, darling." Dillbert said.

His words echoed painfully in caroline's ears, causing her body to tremble. Her heart ached as she listened to Dillbert's.

"I missed you so much darling." Sally immediately hugged Dillbert, she put her arms around Dillbert's neck then immediately kissed Dillbert on the lips.

Caroline quicy looked down, closing her eyes tightly as her chest tightened. Dillbert hadn't expect Sally to kiss him so suddenly, and he pulled his face away. Feeling uncomfortable, especially since Caroline was still standing there.

"Why, honey? You don't like me kissing you?" Sally asked with a sad expression. Dillbert firmly shook his head. He rubbed Sally's jaw then whispered.

"It's unsightly for people to see" Sally immediately laughed, she didn't realize that Caroline was there.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Caroline hurriedly turned around, And Dillbert glanced at her, accidentally noticing tears in her eyes.
