Chapter Thirty Four

A week later

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We're now making our descent into Willowdale International Airport and we anticipate a smooth landing in approximately twenty minutes. Please return your seats to the upright position, ensure your seatbelts are securely fastened and all electronic devices are turned off."

The sound of the captain's voice awakened me from my sleep and I pressed the button on the side of the chair to return it to an upright position. I raised the shade and gazed out of the window to witness the enchanting sunset. The sight was so captivating that I considered capturing it with my phone camera, but I refrained from doing that.

Turning away from nature's beauty, I checked on my kids and husband. I grinned as I observed him pointing out buildings to them. Despite his suggestion to utilize the bedroom, I declined, mindful that it would be embarrassing if he had to carry me off the plane.
