The expression on her face didn't bode well for me at all, but really, what did I expect her to do? Was she supposed to jump for joy because I confessed to having harbored feelings for her a thousand years ago? I doubted any woman would be pleased to hear that. The words I uttered didn't sound pleasing even to my own ears.

"Um... I'm a bit confused." She laughed shortly, rising to her feet and pacing. "Explain it to me so I can understand you better; you had feelings for me but you hated me?"

"Don't misunderstand me, Rosalie." I said. "I didn't hate you because I had feelings for you. I would've told you about my feelings, but I didn't know how to approach you."

"Just like you didn't know how to tell me you wanted me and you accused me of seducing you, right?" She snapped.

"I was a jerk to you. You'd have laughed in my face if I'd told you about my feelings." I explained. "You'd have thought I was playing a prank on you."

"Of course, I would have thought that!" She hissed.
