Chapter Forty Four

Rosalie

A week later

"Good morning, my lovely family." Adrien greeted us as he walked into the dining room.

"Good morning, daddy." The kids returned his greeting with smiles.

"Morning." I responded.

During our initial marriage, encountering each other in the mornings was a rare occurrence. He would always leave before my awakening, and occasionally, Serena informed me of his absence the night before.

Now, witnessing him wearing a joyful smile, adorned in a three-piece charcoal black tailored suit with a crisp white shirt, accompanied by a matching tie and dress shoes, brought happiness to me.

The life I had envisioned for myself was finally realized – a husband who recognized and respected me as his wife, along with three affectionate children. Although it took us seven years to reach this point, it was worth the wait.

"You look gorgeous as always, Rose." He walked around the table to give me a peck on my cheek. "Scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes and bacon." He muttered.
