Chapter 114: Change

“Date?” she muttered in disbelief.

She never expected that coming! As far as she knew, the guy in front of her was very timid and reserved. And that’s the very reason as to why she was the only friend he had back in the days they were still neighbors. Therefore, she was utterly surprised that he actually asked her that without having a hard time nor did he seem like he was nervous at all.

Blinking several times, she stared at Josh and couldn't think of the right words to say.

“It's just a friendly date, don't worry,” Josh added.

He might've seen how astonished she was that's why he immediately clarified that it was just a friendly date. He probably got really hurt and traumatized last night when she blatantly said that she didn't want to marry him.

Thinking about that, guilt splashed all over her as she failed to talk to him that night to elaborate her reason further.
