CHAPTER NINETY-EIGHT: BLAST FROM THE PAST

Simon’s POV

I opened the door with a familiar groan as I stepped into Olivia’s apartment.. After two grueling days in detention, I had never been more grateful to be home. Olivia stood with an expression that barely masked her mischief. Her eyes were alight with a gleam that made me uneasy.

“Welcome home, Simon,” Olivia said, her voice coursed with something I couldn’t quite place. “Look who we have here.”

I followed her gaze, and my heart skipped a beat. There, sitting in the living room, was Alicia. The sight of her took me by surprise, leaving me momentarily rooted to the spot.
