CHAPTER HUNDRED: I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT

Catherine’s POV

I was lost in thought, staring at the crumpled piece of paper in my hand and no matter how hard I tried to get it off my mind, the words on the note kept piercing at me.

“Catherine?” Alexander’s voice cut through my anxious thoughts. I barely noticed him approach, his fingers gently grazing my arm.

I turned to face him, the note crumpled in my grasp. “Simon is out of jail.” Was the first thing I said.

Instantly, his brow furrowed, processing the information. “Yes, I know. I did it for Olivia.”

“Of course, you do everything Olivia asks,” I snapped, frustration rumbling into my voice.

Alexander’s expression hardened slightly. “I can think of at least a hundred things Olivia’s asked that I haven’t done.”
