Chapter 72

After a nice dinner, we stayed at our table and waited for all of the pack to arrive. While we were waiting, another table was added to the end of ours to allow the elders to sit alongside us at the head of the meeting. I was talking with Joshua about things I needed to do after we got home when Nyx suddenly stands next to me and hugs me from the side. I laughed and turned to her to give her a proper hug, “How are ya, kiddo?” She smiled, “I’m great, Alpha. The proper question is how are you? Are you getting plenty of rest?” I smiled, “I am doing a lot better. I make it a point to take a nap every afternoon. I’m only working half days because my mate won’t let me work longer.” She smiled and hugged Joshua, “Thank you for taking care of our Alpha.” He laughed, “It’s my pleasure, Nyx.” She bounced on her tiptoes and smiled, “Well, I need to go sit down.
