Chapter 73

I spent the next morning in my office, going through paperwork and completing the things that Andrew couldn’t. It was just before noon when I realized I was all caught up. I sat back in my chair and sighed as I looked at my mate, “I’m all caught up. Should we check on the safes?” He nodded, “I think we should.” I went to the hidden room with my mate following me. I opened the first safe, and it still looked like it hadn’t been touched. I opened the second one and it looked like it hadn’t been touched either. When I opened the third one, it looked like this was the safe that payroll had been paid out of because there was a small gap between the top wall and the top of the bills, “I was wondering why the safe out there still looked full.
