My feet ferried me to my study room where on arrival, I grabbed a chair and threw it across the room. The furniture landed on the floor with a thud, splattering into tiny pieces. Anger was coursing through my being. Propelling me to yell while shoving stationery and furniture across the room. I needed to vent my anger on something. I needed to punch something and that's what I did. My fists connected with the wall, hitting it severally.

"Jake!" A voice which I recognized as my mother's yelled.

"Leave, mother, I want to be alone!" I growled while punching the wall furiously. The collision of my fists with the wall, caused my knuckles to bruise and bleed.

"Stop hurting yourself!" She grabbed my hand before I could throw another punch. Before I could argue, she drew my body for an embrace. "Calm down, you can't hurt yourself like this!" She caressed my back as silently twisted my fist.
