"My daughter, you have finally arrived!" My mother made rapid steps towards me as her hair, which was tied in a ponytail, swayed side to side. Her knee-length melanoid satin dress hugged her fleshy frame. Expensive looking earrings dangled from her attached earlobes and a smile was engraved on her scarlet lips as she neared me.

"I was waiting for you all morning." She drew my body into a forced hug. Her strong perfume attacked my nostrils, which in turn triggered nausea. "I missed you, dear." She stated.

"I missed you too, mother." Sarcasm was laced in my phrase.

She broke off the hug and palmed my face while gazing smilingly at me, "I am glad that you're here." She pecked my forehead. All this fake concern was vexing me. I hated it. Especially because a mother was supposed to love her child genuinely without any selfish motives. But in this case, my mom was faking her love. She didn't love or care for me. All she truly loved an
